NESTAC is well-known for developing bespoke trainings that increase cross-cultural awareness of newly arrived migrants and of the wider community, their insight and understanding of cultural diversity, beliefs and traditions to strengthen community cohesion.

The following trainings and workshops are available at NESTAC:

Womens programme
– Hair Braiding Course
– Costume Making Course
– Cultural cooking and hospitality course

The above courses have embedded functional skills in their programmes.

Open to all course programme
– ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages): for families from new emerging communities including refugees and asylum seekers
– French, Portuguese and Swahili (African Language): open to the entire community, to explore the knowledge of an alternative language.
– Basic ICT studies (Information and Communication Technologies)

NESTAC is also a UK online centre, and access to our computers is FREE

In-house trainings and placements for volunteers interested in supporting the migrant population, that might lead to contracted work internally.

Practice placement: NESTAC hosts students in placement from Colleges and  Universities across Greater Manchester.
